More Than a Business: Why I Created Bailey on the Daily

For most of my adult life, I did what I thought I was supposed to do.

I worked hard. I built a career. I took care of people. I showed up when I was tired, pushed through difficult seasons, and kept going because other people were depending on me.

As a registered nurse, caring for others has been a huge part of my life. Nursing taught me more than clinical skills. It taught me how to listen, how to problem-solve, how to stay calm when things feel overwhelming, and how powerful it can be when someone simply believes in you.

But somewhere along the way, I started asking myself a question that I think a lot of women eventually ask:

Is this really all my life is supposed to be?

Not because I wasn’t grateful.

Not because I didn’t value my career.

But because I wanted something more.

I wanted more freedom over my time.

More financial choices.

More creativity.

More opportunities to build something that belonged to me.

And, maybe most importantly, I wanted to know what could happen if I stopped talking myself out of the dreams that kept showing up in the back of my mind.

I Didn’t Start With a Perfect Plan

I wish I could tell you that I woke up one morning, created the perfect business strategy, and everything fell into place.

That isn’t my story.

I’ve researched business ideas, experimented with different ways to make money online, learned new platforms, created products, built websites, figured out Pinterest, explored digital products, and made plenty of mistakes along the way.

I’ve had moments when I felt incredibly motivated.

I’ve also had moments when I stared at my computer wondering what in the world I was doing.

There have been things that worked.

There have been things that didn’t.

There have been times when I’ve had to start over, learn something completely new, or admit that an idea wasn’t going to take me where I wanted to go.

And surprisingly, that journey became part of the reason I created Bailey on the Daily.

Because I realized there are thousands—probably millions—of people sitting at their own kitchen tables wondering the same things.

Could I actually build something of my own?

Can ordinary people really create income online?

Am I too old to start over?

What if I don’t know enough?

Where do I even begin?

I’ve asked those questions too.

You Don’t Have to Have Everything Figured Out

One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that you don’t need to see the entire staircase before you take the first step.

You just need to be willing to start.

Maybe your dream is starting an online business.

Maybe you want to sell a digital product.

Maybe you’ve been thinking about opening an Etsy shop.

Maybe you want to start a blog, learn Pinterest, create something with Canva, build an extra stream of income, or finally turn an idea that’s been sitting in your notebook into something real.

Or maybe your dream has nothing to do with business.

Maybe you simply want a life that feels more like yours.

That’s what Bailey on the Daily is really about.

My Mission

My mission is simple:

To help everyday people believe that they can create more options for their lives—and give them practical resources to help them begin.

I don’t want this to be another corner of the internet filled with overnight-success promises.

I want it to be useful.

I want you to leave here with an idea you can actually try.

A resource you can actually use.

A strategy that suddenly makes something confusing feel possible.

Sometimes that might mean teaching you something I’ve learned about Pinterest.

Sometimes it might be showing you how to create a digital product.

Sometimes we’ll talk about blogging, online business, email marketing, Canva, AI tools, side hustles, mindset, productivity, or resources that can make building something of your own a little easier.

And sometimes it may simply be encouragement to keep going.

Because building a different life isn’t only about strategy.

It’s also about believing you’re capable of creating one.

Why Helping Other People Matters to Me

Helping people isn’t something I discovered when I started a website.

It’s been woven throughout my career.

I’ve spent years caring for patients, educating families, mentoring nurses, solving problems, and helping people navigate situations that felt intimidating or unfamiliar.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching someone go from:

“I don’t think I can do this.”

to:

“Wait—I think I’ve got it.”

That feeling translates far beyond nursing.

I want someone who has been dreaming about starting a business to find something here that helps them take their first step.

I want the woman working long hours and wondering whether she’ll ever have more freedom to realize there are other possibilities worth exploring.

I want the person who thinks they’re “not tech-savvy enough” to discover that these skills can be learned.

I want someone who has started and stopped five different things to understand that those attempts weren’t necessarily failures.

Sometimes they’re simply how you discover the path that fits you.

Your Dream Doesn’t Have an Expiration Date

There is so much pressure to have everything figured out by a certain age.

Career.

Money.

Relationships.

Family.

Retirement.

Success.

Somewhere along the way, we start believing that if we haven’t created the life we imagined by a certain point, maybe we missed our opportunity.

I don’t believe that anymore.

You can decide you want something different.

You can learn a new skill.

You can build a business.

You can change careers.

You can create another source of income.

You can reinvent yourself.

You can take the idea you’ve been quietly thinking about for years and finally give it a chance.

Starting later doesn’t make your dream less valuable.

In many ways, the experiences you’ve collected along the way may be exactly what prepare you for whatever comes next.

I’m Building Alongside You

I think this part is important.

I’m not writing Bailey on the Daily from the finish line.

I’m building too.

I’m learning.

Testing.

Creating.

Changing things when they don’t work.

Celebrating the small wins.

Getting frustrated sometimes.

And continuing anyway.

When I discover something useful, I want to share it.

When I find a tool that makes the process easier, I want you to know about it.

When I learn from a mistake, I want to help you avoid making the same one.

And when something works, I want to break it down in a way that makes it easier for someone else to try.

You don’t need another person on the internet pretending success is effortless.

You need practical information, encouragement, honesty, and a reminder that building something meaningful usually happens one small decision at a time.

Build More Income. Create More Freedom.

Income isn’t the only goal here.

Options are.

Extra income might mean paying off debt faster.

It might mean taking a family vacation without putting it on a credit card.

It might mean reducing your hours at a job that’s exhausting you.

It might mean being able to say yes when your child needs you.

It might mean saving more for retirement.

It might eventually mean leaving a job and working for yourself.

Or it might simply give you the peace of knowing that your entire financial future doesn’t depend on one paycheck.

That is the kind of freedom I want to explore and build.

And I want to help other people build it too.

What You’ll Find at Bailey on the Daily

This space will continue growing, but everything I create comes back to a few core ideas:

Purpose. Growth. Mindset. Business. Lifestyle. And creating a life you genuinely love.

You’ll find practical information about building income online, Pinterest marketing, digital products, business tools, content creation, blogging, and other strategies I’m learning and using along the way.

You’ll also find resources designed to turn information into action.

Because reading another article won’t change your life.

Doing something with what you learn might.

This Is Your Reminder to Begin

If you’ve been waiting until you feel completely ready, consider this your reminder that most people don’t.

You learn by beginning.

You gain confidence by doing.

You figure things out one decision at a time.

Start with the idea.

Create the first page.

Publish the first post.

Design the first product.

Make the first pin.

Send the first email.

Take the first imperfect step.

Then take another.

Your dream may look completely different from mine, and that’s exactly how it should be.

My goal isn’t to tell you what your dream should look like.

It’s to help you believe it’s worth pursuing—and give you tools that might make the road a little easier.

Because I believe ordinary people can create extraordinary changes in their lives when they’re willing to learn, grow, and keep going.

That’s the heart behind Bailey on the Daily.

We’re not waiting for the perfect time.

We’re building our next chapter.

One idea.

One decision.

One brave little step at a time.

Here’s to creating more options, pursuing the dreams we keep thinking about, and building a life we truly love.
